Terms of Use

MyGameList is independently operated. “MyGameList,” “we,” and “us” refer to the service and its operator. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service. Contact us at contact@mygamelist.co with questions.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You must also meet any additional age, parental-permission, or legal-capacity requirements that apply where you live. MyGameList does not currently provide an account-registration process for children under 13.

Provide accurate account information and use an email address or Google account you are entitled to use. Keep your sign-in credentials secure and tell us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. Do not impersonate another person or use an account that belongs to someone else.

MyGameList lets you browse game information, record your collection and Diary, customize your profile, publish reviews and lists, and participate in discussions and voting. You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful activities, fraud, harassment, threats, or abuse.
• Publish content that infringes another person’s rights or exposes their private information without permission.
• Upload malicious content, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the service or other users’ accounts.
• Bypass access controls or impose an unreasonable load on the service.
• Use the service to distribute spam or deceptive content.

You retain any rights you hold in the profile information, images, notes, reviews, lists, comments, and other content you submit. You give MyGameList a non-exclusive permission to store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate the service, apply your privacy settings, and handle support, safety, or legal requirements.

You are responsible for the content you submit and for having the rights needed to share it. Information on a public profile and public game logs can be viewed by others. New game logs are public by default; you can mark individual logs as private. Notes attached to a public log are public too. Reviews and lists have separate visibility settings, and Diary privacy is controlled separately. You can also make your entire profile private, which hides your profile and your public lists and reviews from other users and discovery.

You can manage or remove your content through the available controls or request account deletion. Removing a game log from your collection keeps its Diary history. Report records may include snapshots of content submitted for review. Permission to use removed content ends when it is no longer needed for deletion processing, restricted backups, or applicable legal obligations. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.

Game information and artwork come from third-party sources, including IGDB, and may contain errors or become outdated. Game names, images, trademarks, and other third-party materials belong to their respective owners. Using MyGameList does not give you ownership of those materials.

Google sign-in and links to other websites are subject to the relevant providers’ terms and policies. MyGameList does not control those external services or guarantee their availability.

We aim to keep MyGameList useful and reliable, but features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every item of game information is complete or accurate. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes affecting your use of the service.

We may restrict or close an account, or remove content, when reasonably necessary to address a violation of these terms, protect users or the service, or comply with the law. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us about the decision.

Accounts confirmed to belong to someone under 13 will be removed and their associated personal information deleted. You can request closure of your own account by emailing contact@mygamelist.co. Account closure and data requests are currently handled manually.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without promises beyond those expressly stated in these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer rights.

We may revise these terms as the service develops. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice or seek agreement where required by law. If you do not agree to revised terms, you may stop using the service and request account closure.
